4 WAYS POOLTIGER REDUCES THE NEED FOR CHLORINE

HYDRODYNAMIC CAVITATION

The effects of cavitation have been known for over a hundred years, but it is only recently that this phenomenon has been exploited to offer several important advantages .

Cavitation in our device occurs when the water is accelerated inside the nozzle. This acceleration lowers the water pressure below its vapor point, causing small vapor bubbles to form. As these vapor bubbles exit the nozzle, as seen in this video, the surrounding water pressure quickly causes them to collapse and return to a liquid state. By getting very close to the PoolTiger in operation, you can hear the cavitation phenomenon.

This rapid change in the states of matter of water creates:

  • High levels of infrared energy (heat)

  • intense shock waves

These factors are sufficient to:

  • It oxidizes and destroys exposed contaminants, thereby improving sanitation and reducing the need for chemical treatments.

  • Initiating a gradual breakdown of acids – this increases the pH and eliminates excessive levels of cyanuric acid

It is important to note that the heat produced by cavitation is quickly absorbed by the surrounding water. Therefore, it does not significantly increase the pool's temperature.

 

HOW DOES POOLTIGER WORK?

Pool Tiger was designed to take advantage of a completely natural process known as hydrodynamic cavitation . In this device, this process is based solely on the water flow driven by the pool pump.

Constructed from durable thermoplastic, Pool Tiger has no moving parts. It requires no electricity and contains no cartridges or other components that need replacing.

HOW TO INSTALL POOLTIGER

POOLTIGER is very easy to install. It takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. It can be installed horizontally or vertically.
